SPAT Media, Inc. is turning previously static images into dynamic content marketing and affiliate commerce tools. In doing so, we are empowering creators – from photographers and bloggers to brand marketers and editorial publishers – by providing the tools to help them unlock revenue from their visual assets.

The vision for SPAT originated within creative studios and digital media licensing companies, where our founders were exposed to the lack of royalty transparency and proper attribution for photographers. We recognized the limited innovation in digital imagery and identified the shortcomings of hyperlink-based tools used for generating engagement and affiliate revenue. Our experience in sports led us to the insight that the sports industry monetizes only a fraction of its images, despite the enormous popularity of sports content. With SPAT, any image can be effectively monetized.

SPAT’s patent-pending technological process uses AI object segmentation to convert digital images into interactive, commerce-enabled assets that can live within any Web environment.  By delivering context and commerce, an image becomes an immersive micro-campaign that can drive sponsorship value, enhance PR / earned media efforts and generate affiliate revenue streams for publishers by making the products depicted in their images shoppable.

Images with SPAT’s technology return valuable user behavior metrics to publishers and IP holders, helping them optimize their content strategy. And our transparent ledger pools affiliate marketing royalties that are distributed automatically to designated stakeholders, providing a new revenue stream for all participants.
